KLEUR ALS IN MANTEL (zevende kamer)
Zoals alle abstracte kunst toont het werk van Ria Bosman niets anders dan de aanwezigheid ervan als een object. Geverfde repen vlas of leder worden manueel geweven tot een grootschalig weefsel. Ze tonen een spel van rechte lijnen en rechthoekige vlakken.
Het getoonde object bestaat uit een oud gevonden voorwerp als drager dat bewerkt is met leder en acryl. De objecten vormen een langdurige, terugkerende serie in haar oeuvre.
Stille getuigen van niets, maar ze zijn iets. Ze vertegenwoordigen de hoop dat uit het onbekende zichtbare en heldere artefacten kunnen ontstaan, ter contemplatie van dat onbekende.

Like all abstract art, Ria Bosman's work shows nothing other than its presence as an object. Dyed strips of flax or leather are hand-woven into a large-scale fabric. They display a play of straight lines and rectangular planes.
The object shown consists of an old found object as a support, which has been worked with leather and acrylic. The objects form a long-standing, recurring series in her oeuvre.
Silent witnesses to nothing, yet they are something. They represent the hope that visible and clear artifacts can emerge from the unknown, in order to contemplate the unknown.
